About me
About me
I'm a Philosophy PhD Candidate at Vanderbilt University, an AI Scholar at Vanderbilt's interdisciplinary AI lab (VALIANT), an Affiliated Graduate Fellow at the Conceptual Foundations of Conflict Project at University of Southern California, a Paul Lewis Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and the communications co-manager of the Aquinas and 'Arabs' International Working Group (AAIWG).
Other than research, I enjoy hiking, reading classical literature and popular science, traveling, and watching movies. I also love learning languages. So far I've learned Arabic, German, French, Ottoman Turkish, and some Latin, in addition to my native Turkish.
I like collaborating on projects and organizing things. If you're interested in connecting, please feel free to reach out at ismail.kurun@vanderbilt.edu.
