About me
About me
I'm a philosopher and PhD candidate in philosophy at Vanderbilt University. I'm also an AI Scholar at Vanderbilt's interdisciplinary AI lab (VALIANT), an Affiliated Graduate Fellow at the Conceptual Foundations of Conflict Project at the University of Southern California, a Paul Lewis Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and the co-secretary of the Aquinas and the Arabs International Working Group (AAIWG).
Other than research, I enjoy hiking, reading classical literature, science, and high tech, traveling, and watching movies. I also love learning languages. I can read in German, Arabic, French, Ottoman Turkish, and some Latin, in addition to my native Turkish.
Here is an interview the American Philosophical Association did with me.
I like collaborating on projects and organizing things. If you're interested in connecting, feel free to reach out at ismail.kurun@vanderbilt.edu.
