Ismail Kurun - Bio

I am a Philosophy PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University. I specialize in social & political philosophy and Islamic philosophy.

I'm also an AI Scholar at Vanderbilt Lab for Immersive AI Translation where I work at the intersection of AI and political philosophy. My research is often interdisciplinary, bringing social science to bear on philosophical questions.

My dissertation, chaired by Robert Talisse, is on the epistemology of liberalism and the liberalization of nonliberal societies.
