I am a philosopher working on issues at the intersection of social & political philosophy (particularly "PPE"), Islamic & medieval philosophy, AI, and ethics. I am currently a PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University. Previously, I earned a PhD in philosophy from Ankara University.

I am also a fellow at Vanderbilt's interdisciplinary AI lab (VALIANT) and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Since 2021, I have been the co-secretary of the Aquinas and the Arabs International Working Group.

I published a book (The Theological Origins of Liberalism, Lexington) and papers in History of Philosophy Quarterly, Review of Metaphysics, and other venues. My dissertation is on the epistemology of liberalism and the liberalization of nonliberal societies.

Other than research, I enjoy hiking, reading classical literature, science, and high tech, traveling, and watching movies. I also love learning languages. I can read in German, Arabic, French, Turkish (including Ottoman Turkish), and some Latin and Greek.
